Portal to Moab ("Portal to Moab," "we," "us," or "our") is a sub-brand of Portal Offroad Tours LLC, based in Moab, Utah. This policy explains what information we collect through portaltomoab.com, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.
Your email address, if you submit it through our trip-planning signup form. That's the only field on that form — we don't ask for anything else there. If you use the Destination Planner chat assistant: the full content of your conversation, stored so the assistant can keep track of what you've told it. This may include trip details you mention (group size, travel dates, what kind of experience you're looking for) and, if you choose to share it and indicate you're open to follow-up contact, your name, phone number, and/or email address.
If you share your phone number with the Destination Planner and indicate you're open to follow-up contact, Portal Offroad Tours LLC may contact you about your trip, including by text message. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of booking any tour. Message frequency may vary, and standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier's plan. Opt out at any time by texting "STOP." For help, text "HELP" or contact us at info@portaloffroadtours.com. Your mobile information will not be shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. As of this policy's effective date, Portal to Moab does not run an automated texting program — any follow-up texts come from a real person at Portal Offroad Tours, not automated messages.
A randomly generated session identifier, stored in your browser (localStorage), used only to keep your Destination Planner conversation continuous if you return to the site. It is not tied to your identity unless you separately provide contact information in the chat. Standard access logs generated by our website hosting platform (Webflow), consistent with normal website operation. The Destination Planner assistant itself does not run separate analytics, tracking, or device fingerprinting beyond the session identifier above.
We do not collect payment information on portaltomoab.com. Bookings and payments for actual tours are handled directly by Portal Offroad Tours LLC through its own booking systems, under its own policies at portaloffroadtours.com.
To generate helpful, relevant replies in the Destination Planner chat (your conversation is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce a response). To follow up with you about planning a trip, only if you've provided contact information and indicated you're open to follow-up contact. To maintain and improve the site and the Destination Planner experience.
We do not sell personal data. The following providers process data on our behalf, only as needed to deliver the service:
Anthropic — processes chat messages to generate Destination Planner replies (Claude API). Cloudflare — hosts the site and stores chat session data (D1 database) and processes web traffic. Webflow — hosts the site's pages and processes form submissions.
These providers may access information only as necessary to perform services for us and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.
We don't currently have an automatic deletion schedule for Destination Planner conversation data — it's retained until you request its deletion (see Your Rights, below). Form submissions are retained in our website platform (Webflow) consistent with normal business use.
If you are in the EEA/UK, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or portability of your personal data, or ask us to restrict processing, by contacting us at the email below. California residents have similar rights under the CCPA, including the right to request what data we've collected and to request its deletion.
Portal to Moab is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
The site uses your browser's local storage to maintain your Destination Planner session, and standard cookies used by our hosting platform (Webflow) for normal site operation. You can control these through your browser settings.
